Hallo Bethany!
Normally I'd be at a rehearsal this evening, but due to the weather I'm enjoying your show in a warm home studio.

I think there are lines that needs to be drawn when you are putting play list online.

Bethany,i'm sure i've never posted on your comments board before-since i usually listen via airwaves. We spoke several times on the phone though,in the good old days of your sunday eve shift.
Alas i must go make my own noise, but may be back before the end. I'll try!

browsing the score? i wish i could read music at that level.
Avatar 8:22pm
glenn:

15 intervals? i think that's technically impossible, given the architecture of a standard guitar. the frets would have to be reset to have shorter distances between them. if it's doable otherwise, i'd be interested in knowing how.

Droll:

glenn, No better way to learn than following along. There are some great YT videos where the score scrolls along as the song plays.

Glenn, it looks as if he uses custom guitars:

Blackwood has some interesting things to say, and I posted that link after the discussion came up....glad the idea was circling around, it's a technical point that would have passed me by!

It's funny--been feeling like I'm listening to too much classical-type music lately so turned on FMU for some rawk. Glad I did

...this reminds me of 'Our Town' - but in my ignorance I'm reminded of Copland every week - so you're probably one up on me there glenn...is there anybody doesn't 'play guitar' - ??...

Avatar 8:49pm
glenn:

all right. very briefly, measure the distance from the head nut to the tailpiece. that is essentially two octaves. the distance from the head nut to the 12th fret is EXACTLY half of the total distance, and is one octave.
