Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...London is drowning & I live by the river - but if you see the 'Young Ones' floating it may be just a hallucination...was watching 'Filth & Fury' on YT last night (whole thing!) - but occurs to me that I've never seen a real Clash documentary...or a Pretty Things one for that matter...
  6:47am
P-90:

Thomas: "Bene Gesserit" is a reference to the science fiction book Dune. Your pronunciation was about as good as it gets- its a made-up thing
  6:49am
P-90:

Well, Goblin Mix is a waker-upper, isn't it
Avatar 6:49am
Thomas:

Thank you, P-90. I could never make it through DUNE
Avatar 6:52am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- took to Middle-earth like I knew the place - but Dune had me going to the Index looking up too many words - altho' I never heard anybody say they read it & it was a waste of time...
  6:53am
P-90:

@Thomas: It's an acquired taste, like 30-year old red wine or certain stinky cheeses. Or most poetry.
Actually, you said it the way it looks, I think that's just about how the author said it.

Sem Chumbo:

@P-90: Bene Gesserit was a made-up sisterhood, for sure, but Frank H. also did his research: QUAMDIU SE BENE GESSERIT

"As long as he shall behave himself well." A clause inserted in commissions, when such instruments were written in Latin, to signify the tenure by which the officer held his office.
  6:56am
P-90:

@revrab: smart point about those that make it throogh always saying it was worth it

Hi Thomas & all.
Dune is fantastic novel, very clever and psychedelic. Sadly most people only know the movie which is very disappointing.
I love the Belgium duo too, they were very funny.
  7:03am
P-90:

Thanks, Sem. All of Herbert's stuff was grounded in concrete origins. Yep those Ladies were the "well-behaved", though "those who know how one should behave" is closest to his intention

Thomas:

Thanks for checking in, everyone. Damn - I always thought BG was a solo act
  7:14am
P-90:

They were a married couple, right?
Avatar 7:16am
Looms:

No, BG were Nadine Bal (Pseudo Code's manager) and her husband Alain Neffe.

@P-90: yes to ya
