Really fine musicians, IMO - and of course, the 6-part harmonies are mind-blowing! Not lots of actual live film footage around though - I've only seen maybe 3 or 4 actual live clips from '66-'69 era.

Guido, just noticed your comment re: the Who. They still had the styled hair and sequined suits and did a lot of harmonies over a raging wall of sound. I was in fourth row in front of Townshend. I saw them many times after that but nothing compared. I never warmed to the synth sound and and preferred Daltrey's smooth high voice to his ragged screaming one. but i of course love them always.

I want to go to Soundset some year. I'm not so excited about Mpls rap except for Bro Ali, but last year they had Eligh and the Grouch who reportedly killed it.

@Brian: This number is showing their roots a bit (it's very close to "Caravan"), but very nice nonetheless.

That and the Miracles earlier worth the entrance fee alone. Better go and slide into my flares and afghan. See you later.

And I do need to get to the 5th Element. Never had the chance to get there, and it sounds like a place I'd love.

oooh, Qbert. And I like Toki Wright.
I'd probably hang out in the DJ tent all day.

I should see if my friend Dave wants to go. He likes Atmosphere and all that. I have still never been to a live rap show.
