It's really nice out, but I must sit here typing on laptop for work reasons. The Talk's Cheap music makes it pleasant.

The sunlight of his days
Was spent in the gray of his mind
As he stole love with a tongue of lies
The world is shrinking in size

You would think this definitely Roy Orbison, but hey....this is great!!

Avatar 5:56pm
TDK60:

Read somewhere Isleys were playin' Jamaica. During a break, Jimi stole onto stage alone and tore it up. They thought he was nuts. Then, by the 70s, they were using his licks.

Avatar 6:11pm
TDK60:

WKCR has a good soul/funk show: 'Across 110th St.'
Avatar 6:14pm
Honey Water:

@ TDK60: Yeah, I understand the station was doing an all-day Horace Silver tribute as well last week. Our only NYC tuning is WFMU stream.

First thought Ibibio SM was bringin' in da funk, but actually guess it trended more toward disco. Hope someone remembers Womack this coming week.
Avatar 6:30pm
Honey Water:

Suppose it's lese majesty to suggest less del Rey and more Womack.

...man does Bernie Maupin sound like Trane on this! (en.wikipedia.org...) ; but that's like saying Rock Guitarists sound like Hendrix, of course...
Avatar 6:43pm
t_J:

i don't see Pop so immense like i see Jazz and Classical Music in its own voidism capable of surrendering the entire airplay of a station .. altough i would like to find an all world music station
Avatar 6:46pm
t_J:

i didn't heard the song sorry was referring general lana
Avatar 6:50pm

FMU should reflect society's Goods and focus on its expansion .. if lana is going that path, we have to find out along.. heh bye 4 now
