Driving once with friends, we turned onto a smalltown route called Shy Beaver Road. The sign made me think, "Pfuh, the local kids and probably adults must get regular guffaws with this." Moments later on that very road -- what are the chances, eh? -- I saw a woman in a bathrobe sitting on her front steps above a sloped yard, with the sightline just so and the back of the robe hanging open just so below her bent legs...well, sir, it was fleeting enough to not quite be the bluntest full mon(s)ty, but it was enough to note that THAT was not the neighborhoods eponymous shy one.
