Howdy, Tony and all!! βrian, we're facing 5° tonight in NE NJ. At that rate NW NJ is likely to have zero.

Heya, βrian! Not so cold here. The cold is inside me at the moment, though.

Is Tago Mago the label or the title? Isn't Camouflage the label, 003 the release number?

@ Dean: Tago Mago is def the label. Their release numbers all start with "camouflage."

Isn't your Visions of the Emerald Beyond upside down? At least the writing is. Also album "Cristal" is now playing (album). Sorry to be so AR.
  12:18pm
Dean:

VotEB was recorded upside-down.
Avatar 12:19pm

Hey, Kay! Thanks for spotting the typo! The upside-down Visions LP is intentional, though.

It's alright, it's probably a gatefold anyway.

Avatar 1:39pm

@ Dean: Yeah, sad to say, side A of the Steve Moore will have to wait for another show. Just not enough time -- and I couldn't find a 20-something-minute tape that would fit in its entirety. Just the way the cassette cookie crumbles....

Do you have any of those ROIR tapes? I had a live Raincoats one back in Flanders ion the early 90s, I wonder where that is now...
Avatar 1:50pm
Tony Coulter:

@ Cecile: Hmm. I'll have to think about that -- no answer comes to mind right away.
Avatar 1:51pm

@ Exeter Wood-Elf: I do have a few of the ROIR tapes, yes. Need a replacement of the Polyrock one -- mine died, sadly.

What RadioDj's/stations warrant your listening interest?
Avatar 2:01pm
Tony Coulter:

Heya, Spainish Inquisition! Assuming that question was directed at me: I'm afraid I'm guilty of not listening to the radio as much as I should, so I can't really offer an informed answer. Takes as much time as I can spare just listening to the music I already have in my house.

Avatar 2:21pm
Tony Coulter:

Haven't heard that show, though....
  2:24pm
Dean:

The radio show I most miss was broadcast out of a local Southern California station, could have been AM, and featured host Brother Paul, who took calls from listeners and purveyed spiritual advice. It was ... unusual. The show's theme song was Loggins & Messina's "Peace of Mind." I'd love to know what happened to BP.
  2:29pm
MrFab:

- KXLU. It's all great, but the Friday morning show "The International Voice of Reason" is very WFMU/ incorrect music.

- KBOO's "Lost and Found" hosted by Rich, who frequently hangs 'round these parts.
Avatar 2:30pm

Heya, MrFab!!

Yes, there are a few mucho excellent shows on Portland radio stations KBOO and XRAY.

  2:33pm

Another defunct show: KNAC Long Beach's weekly progressive rock show during the late '70s.
  2:35pm
Dean:

@Jethro: The show aired a long time ago, but not that long ago!
Avatar 2:37pm
Kay:

I'd recommend Resonance FM: The O.S.T. Show (as in "original soundtrack") with Johnny Trunk, who heads Trunk Records. Movie/television soundtracks for the most part, or related, or the same theme/type. Often orchestral, but usually bearing on the weird side. Check their schedule, than do the math from London time (Saturday noonish).

This non–R. Stevie Steve Moore has an LP out on ReR (aka Recommended Records): www.discogs.com...

Ah, the sounds of my youth. This was the soundtrack for our house at night! As I heard it, anyway.

Can we assume that this is the same Steve Moore who performed with Zombi?
