I had a friend who prepped his kitchen ceiling for painting by flinging overcooked spaghetti upward until there was a fairly even, random distribution. It need to few days to dry before painting, but it gave a nice effect.

The spaghetti adhered really well. Any dangling pieces were broken off flush. Then two coats of latex with a long-nap roller.

i once wanted leaf textures on my bathroom walls. I went for a walk in the woods with my gurlfriend -somehow collected no 2 from the same species. I planned to press their imprints onto the wet green paint;but she said "what kind of glue should we use?" i said "Oh.uh, elmers."
It was beautiful.
The landlord didn't love it.

Babadook was good, but it's not a typical horror film. If you go into it expecting that, you will most likely be let down.

As for modern films, we did catch UPSTREAM COLOR finally, Shane Carruth's follow-up to the fine PRIMER, but it was too abstract, like second-rate Tarkovsky, and while it did coalesce by the end it took too long to do so...

@Philo: I didn't liked that Upstream Color, I don't like that style of editing in which every scene seems like "oh my god an epiphany is happening" and then cut, new scene, new epiphany. It looked like an excruciatingly long music video.
