Ben Vaughn's "The Many Moods of Ben Vaughn".

One of my favorites.

#1 with a bullet is WTF with Marc Maron. Especially for a top-shelf interviewer such as yourself.

I have become more of a fan the wallet only because I am obsessed with not giving up space anymore.

Hi Michael! eco wallet all the way!
  11:30am

Although I prefer vinal, a cd wallet seems better. Jewel cases are the worst and always break.

I'm a big fan of these podcasts featuring interviews with prominent film historians:

Eco wallet is the only way now for all of the reasons already explained.

I'm not sure I know what a CD wallet is.

I recommend the podcast of my show...but then, *I would*.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am

I'm also a big fan of "Stuff You Should Know" (which was very briefly on the station...)

I agree with Greg from Bloomfield
WTF with Marc MAron is very interesting/funny, he interviews comics, musicians, directors, writers, actors, etc..

Also like the thin wallets for CDs.

Podcasts like WTF and the audio from Maher's Real Time are great in the kitchen but you got to be careful with the dirty words when the kids are around.

Is a CD wallet the cardboard/heavy paper thing? I like them.

Thanks all - I have no problem w/ dirty words, my kid has heard em all. I've been enjoying Freakonomics.

Steve:

My packaging preference is the digipak, ideally with a booklet insert. I don't mind the jewel case but I really dislike the cd wallet since it involves grabbing a cd and getting fingerprints on it. Those wallets tend to be flimsy with no easily readable spine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48am
Pedro G.:

Oh, my kids don't mind the dirty words either. It's my wife who hears them and then gives me the stink eye.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am

I prefer Planet Money to Freakonomics, though I enjoy both. Judge John Hodgeman and Night People are also staples of mine

Stevel:

Very good. I'm not that familiar with the Womack history, or Sam Cooke. Learning stuff is fun.

Saw Muscle Shoals doc. last night. What a story there. The ending got a little schmaltzy, but I buy into the idea that its a special place.
  12:21pm
Sean:

From Womack to country-cheese in just 2 songs.
That's a high wire act.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm
Uncle Michael:

It's a shame the Muscle Shoals doc turned into The Jim Hall Story.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm

Sean: He's up there all day. Never see him stumble.

Love the show more than anything, but "Deputy Dawg" is probably the single worst song Michael has ever played

I've seen the links for the Pono that are posted. Man, I'm not selling any, got nothing to gain here, but that thing sounds GREAT! Of course, if you listen through crappy Apple Buds, may not make a difference, but I'm really happy with it. YMMV, of course.

Stevel: it was meant to be complementary, but like a high wire act there is a moment when your heart stops a beat and you wonder if it will end in disaster, all the while pulling for the daredevil.
  12:40pm
Cal Zone!:

Great to hear Rochester NY/Brighton High School's own Sam Elwitt bangin out the Baby Blue!
  12:42pm
Queens L. Bow:

"Sunflower" is an under-rated BB album...the songs are really diverse since all the members wrote songs for it (esp. Dennis). I used to play "It's About Time" for friends & have them guess who it was...no one ever did. A great if un-BB-like track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm

"Shut Down" is a bit like Elvis' "Little Sister" I just noticed.
