Now, I must tell you that I'm beginning to think that there really is something to all this - (well of course there is, I know, but hear me out please) -
We buried the last of my nieces and nephews great-grandparents last Saturday. Grandma Aurora was one of the last of the great Italian-born huddled masses, and in fact she was a wonderful person, and also quite witty, sharp as a tack until the end - "they broke the mold", as the old cliche goes.
ANYWAY, I was shaving for the viewing on Friday morning, listening to your April 16 show, and what do you know, "Grandma's House" came on. Absolutely gorgeous, timely, and appropriate, and even though she was my brother-in-law's grandmother, not mine, that tune grabbed my guts hard. But that's exactly why she will know eternal life, she touched so many souls in a positive way. And rumor says she was a net winner at gambling, she knew which slots were paying when. Now all of our gambling grandparents are happily reunited there in Atlantic City together! Hope to join them when called...
