great stuff Rob!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 6:24pm Ken From Hyde Park:

England hit a penalty kick in second overtime and lead Germany 1-0 with a few minutes to go.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm Rob W:

Thanks SeanG! Happy holiday or non-holiday as the case may be, dear listeners...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm Rob W:

We ran into the Colombian womens' team in the airport on our way to Scotland a few weeks ago! They were presumably connecting on their way to Canada...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm Rhody Chris:

I almost like this version of Beat It better than the original. Happy 4th everybody
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm Rob W:

Happy 4th, thanks Rhody Chris!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 6:59pm Bas NL:

Hi Rob! Greetings from a Tour de France and heat wave laden Utrecht!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm Rhody Chris:

Did you get out to see the TT today Bas?
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:05pm Bas NL:

@Rhody: Yes for sure! Today and tomorrow the routes pass some 200 yards from my home!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Rhody Chris:

Lucky! I have to rely on Eurosport clips on youtube 6 hours after the stage is over so I usually just see the last 15-20 km of each stage. How's the wind looking for tomorrow? I love that we essentially get to see a couple of spring classics in July this year
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Rob W:

I heard about this heat wave Bas, even the Netherlands is going close to 30 degrees C. We sure didn't feel it in Scotland when we were there last month. Enjoy the Tour bike-by!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm Stanley:

Greetings from Scotland, Rob, where we're also enjoying the high temperatures.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Rob W:

Hi Stanley, enjoy the warm Caledonian breezes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Stanley:

I had forgotten how much I love soukous. Was completely smitten by it once upon a time. BTW Bob what were you doing over here last month?
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:14pm Bas NL:

We had 33 deg C (92 F) today; a real challenge. But a nice light breeze. Tomorrow the wind will become a real problem later in the day. Might become a problem when the Tour riders approach the Dutch coast, where the finish will be..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Stanley:

*Rob* typo, just in from a night out, shouldn't be typing like this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm Rhody Chris:

I'll be facing about 95F/35C temps and 35km/h winds on my long Sunday ride tomorrow here in Texas so I'll be feeling their pain a little bit. Not quite matching their 160+ km but I'm not a trained pro either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Rob W:

Hi Stanley, we were just visiting - my better half Katie always wanted to go to the beautiful Hebrides - we visited Skye, Mull, Iona, Staffa. And we dropped in on a bunch of trad / folk music sessions in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Also saw the Treacherous Orchestra at Oran Mor in Glasgow. And, well, I ate haggis in many varieties and enjoyed the creative Indian cuisine at Mother India and Mother India Cafe!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:24pm Bas NL:

Best of luck @Rhody! Sounds like you qualify as a pro, with those conditions.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm Stanley:

That's great Rob, hope you enjoyed the Islands and the weather wasn't too bad. We're booked for a week on Arran in September. Its another world over there.
BTW this is unmistakenly Sabah Habas Mustafa.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm Stanley:

Glasgow is famous, amongst other things, for its indian restuarants.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm Rhody Chris:

Thanks Bas! I've done 160km in hotter and windier conditions but I don't think I can hold pro-level speeds for that long! My average on something like that would be around 27km/h, not even training speed for most of those guys
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm Rob W:

Stanley, yes, we had a great time and the weather was really quite good, thank you Scotland! And the Indian food was great too!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:34pm Bas NL:

@Rhody: I think the projections are some four hours for 166km... scary to think of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm Rhody Chris:

That's insane. I've done that in under 6 hours with a couple short refill breaks but I can't imagine coming even close to 4 hours, even on the NL flats with no winds. Cyclists are some serious athletes
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Bas NL:

Today was a 16.5km track. Winner finished in under 15 min. Some 66km/h!
  7:51pm Robyn Brentano:

Best show EVER! This is what the 4th should sound like ALWAYS.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm Rhody Chris:

Rohan Dennis' official average was 55.4 km/h but that's still nuts. I follow Laurens ten Dam and several of the Lotto/Jumbo guys on Strava and he hit 75km/h on the course! They hit 94 on their WARM-UP ride
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm Rob W:

Thanks Robyn!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm Rhody Chris:

This is much better than hearing Lee Greenwood sing Proud To Be an American 7 times on my local radio stations today
  8:01pm JakeGould:

This show has got me covered!
  8:25pm JakeGould:

That Prakash Band version of Tequila sounded like “Gigantor.”
  8:33pm kk:

catching the tail end tonight but really enjoying it so far. cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm maestroso:

Same here, great show Rob!
  8:41pm kk:

awe yisss country road is one of my fave songs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm Rob W:

Thanks kk and maestroso and Jake! Yes, I couldn't resist playing the Maytals version of Country Roads...
  8:48pm Tom P:

Fantastic show, Rob. Thanks!
  8:59pm Mark:

Seriously, this ukulele version of "Shaft" is the greatest thing I've ever heard in my life.
  8:59pm kk:

killin it with these covers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm Rob W:

Thanks everyone, stay tuned for Pat and Prove it All Night!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 9:01pm Bas NL:

Thanks Rob!
