Pierre: I saw a fairly recent Residents show (WOW Tour) and really for only the fact that they don't get up my way often, I figured it might be my last chance to see them without hitting the road. I have to say I didn't find it that great, myself. I don't really dig where their live show is coming from - the Randy thing. I just don't get it. Sorry to say - I'm a huge Rez fan and have been for many decades.

@pierre, I've only seen them once, on the Demons Dance Alone tour (2002?). Very, uhh.... theatrical. Almost Broadway, a little corny. but a very immersive experience; maybe worth it because I love them too. Well, "Him", at this point. I wouldn't spend a lotta $$ on it tho.

A song, "My Summer is Gone," by Gilbert Gibson, appears in the July-December 1963 catalog of copyright registrations published by the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress. Gibson was apparently South African, and the song's title in Afrikaans is "Daar ver in die blou." Same song?

Listening to it, I figure the Upper Midwest accent also owes something to an Irish accent as well. And there is a Finnish magic spell on it! Also, some good fiddling. Can't wait to get to the rest.

Also managed Paul Revere and the Raiders. Doris Day is his mom. In the most sad part, Manson sent his troops to Melcher's house for rejecting his demos, but he'd since moved.
