Avatar 🥁 9:50am duke:

Maybe the pope talked Boehner into resigning when they met yesterday.
  9:51am Listener Robert:

First they used "Thus Spake Zarathustra" into music for "2001". Then they turned that into a crappy version w a lot of rubato that got used as theme music on John Wingate's "Night Beat". Then they turned THAT into the actually interesting version that I just heard for the 1st time courtesy of your show, thanks.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:52am listener james from westwood:

Told him the third secret of Fatima?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am Doug Schulkind:

My pleasure, Listener Robert!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56am Doug Schulkind:

I always loathed it when Boehner was mocked for his crying. I thought it was a rare and precious moment of humanity from an otherwise heartless "other side of the aisle."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56am AndrewC.:

Sounding like Deodato's version to me. But no one could describe that as crappy could they? Could they???

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06am Doug Schulkind:

Hi Javier! Yes I do miss Brooklyn terribly still. No knock on Pittsburgh, which has been perfectly "nice" (if a little underwhelming employment-wise).

Yo, doctorjazz!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:06am listener james from westwood:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am Doug Schulkind:

If Javier is who I think he is, he and I broke into radio together in 1980! And when I say broke, I mean it. Our first ever record on the air skipped.

I'm a light sleeper, so living in Brooklyn doesn't really help either. My wife can sleep through me having friends over and playing techno, she doesn't wake for anything. She'll also commonly be up working on work at home until 4am. other times she goes to sleep at 10pm. I can't sleep when she's awake, b/c any noise will wake me.

Thanks Stanley!

Awesome Friday, Doug, thanks!

It's been hard learning that I can't 4 hours sleep one night and just recover with a couple extra hours the next night.

Melatonin has no effect on me. I haven't tried rohypnol.
