The history of naming Mauch Chunk for Jim Thorpe is kind of controversial -- all American, in a sad way. And yes, to be a proper Jazz DJ you have to announce the entire musician line-up of every track you play, adding "and leader" to whomever has his name on the album. I tried that once in college with rock bands; the effect was enjoyably silly.
