I gave that Norton Stones cover single. Got four at once and thought that was it. Turns out the set is like 20 discs.

Uh... hello! What did I miss?... Seems it took JJ a few minutes to figure out how to reset the speed on the turntables. Dang. Sorry I missed that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03am
jj.:

don't worry, there'll be more things at their properly adjusted speed later.

I know nobody cares, but this reminds me.. I don't have too many 45s but I've got at least one or two Robert Wyatt singles... one is called Grass I think...

perfect! Wyatt segueing into Bongwater, both (kinda) via The Monkees
i do not have any Robert Wyatt 45s but i DO have this Bongwater single :)
glad to be listening tonight!
does anyone else out there remember Bongwater performing "You Don't Love Me Yet" on "Night Music"?
  1:40am
rw:

Wow. slugluv1313, I only just watched a couple minutes of that performance on the YouTube but it's pretty great. Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Bob Weir too. I miss that weird late night tv.

slugluv1313:

yeah, don't know if stuff like that would even be "allowed" on TV nowadays!
did not get to see "Night Music" all the time but when i did, it was always interesting -- taped a buncha stuff (VHS!) -- including the BONGWATER performance -- Pussywillows on backing vocals, too :)
  2:29am
rw:

Oh man. I'm sure that tape is great. I was compiling a VHS tape of bands on SNL for a while but somewhere along the line it got accidentally taped over.
  2:31am
rw:

Jesse, your 45 collection is appropriately askew.
