Hi Rex, As always, I'm flippin' o'er yer show's grooves. Did you know that Candy Johnson also did a version of "Hound Dog"? (Great gargey version on Canjo 102, 1964.) And that there's an 'FMU connection? Doug Shulkin (of "Give the Drummer Some") once told me he played drums with the Candy Johnson Show band. (Although I doubt he was on her 1964 recordings.)
