Good morning Nate

Nate K:

Hey, Fred!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:14am
fred:

I'll see Mdou Moctar Tuesday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19am
Nate K:

Jealous, Fred. Please report back with details next week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24am
Stanley:

Rats, just tuned in and missed Mdou Moctar. But lined up to see him/them this month.
Hi Nate and fellow fireraisers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24am
fred:

I'll try to learn whether there's any plan for a US tour. I suspect visa issues make it unlikely
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26am
fred:

@Stanley: are you in London?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44am
Stanley:

Hi Fred. No I'm in Edinburgh but the gig is part of my London holiday at the end of the month. Can't wait. Am I right you are in France?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50am
fred:

Yeah, I'm within walking distance of Paris. There's actually a Mdou Moctar show in Edinburgh (11/21 at Electric Circus)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51am
Nate K:

Hi Stanley, thanks for dropping by.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02am
Stanley:

(returns from the washing up) Hi Fred, blimey, I didn't know that but will save the joy for a few days later in London Town, a place I haven't visited for over twenty years. I fear I won't recognise the place.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23am
Stanley:

(returns from cleaning bathroom) Quiet round here, this morning.
One day I'll make it to Monty Hall to join in the fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28am
fred:

Loving this Tesco Bombers track. Reminded me of The Slits and Delta 5

Good Morning Nate! Heavy heart here...I always listened to your show with my pal Jack (the Pug) in my lap. Always the best way to start a Sunday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30am
Nate K:

@DonJuan, I'm so sorry to hear that. Anything you think he might have wanted to hear? Or you want to hear for that matter? I'll see what I can do...

Morning~Tzag. No word from Sem Chumbo these days I guess, btw.
...when Iggy said he needed a tuba - I didn't want to know - a tube uh whut?
...ok - you make a funny...

Condolences DJT.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34am
fred:

Wow, this Albert Ayler track is kinda weird, but it does make sense when he's playing. He kept bringing other things into free jazz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35am
Stanley:

RRN63 - DCE seems to have gone AWOL, too. Long time listener/commentator
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37am
Nate K:

Apparently people hated that Ayler record when it was released and thought it was a sellout move. It's hard, though, for me to imagine Ayler thinking of anything he did in terms of commercial viability.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38am
Stanley:

"You got no wig on?"
Dig!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42am
fred:

@Nate: Yet many praised him for echoing NOLA's second line. I think he was beyond such distinctions
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43am
Nate K:

@Fred, agreed. He's a personal favorite for just that reason.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45am
DonJuanTijuana:

Thanks all for the kind words..@NateK, reason I listen to your show is that everything you play is AWESOME! Besides T-o-T's show, GJRS, & BKTW..they're all my musical golden fill. Perhaps a special Stooges track pertaining to K9's?

Karl:

This has been great. So good to hear Lou Reed. I miss that dude.

@Stanley & @RRN63 - Listener Fleep has also been scarce lately.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24am
fred:

If we're going there, let me add a shout out to Fred Van Helsing. Even Pierre dropped out for a while, though he's back
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29am
Nate K:

Hi guys, I meant Blowfly by the way when referring to Clarence Reid's alter ego! Of course!!!!

...when hanging @ a favorite cafe in my Santa Barbara days - I thot the scene ought to have a yearbook periodically like schools do. One of them community scenes...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31am
Stanley:

@Ken - fleep made an appearance on the Drummer stream a few days ago but his/her last words were 'I gotta migrate'. So he/she's fine, I think. Sem appears under the pseudonym 'Sweet essence of giraffe' and still pops up now and again and DCE must be lying low, I think but he still loves us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36am
fred:

I put the station in my will, so when I'm off the playlists for a while, you'll know whether it's because I'm dead
Avatar 8:42am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...maybe I'll get cremated & used to turn turbines to power FMU
- & then my ashes can be put into a GarageRawk reissue er sumthin'
...thus I shall become pure music...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43am
Stanley:

@fred - what a great thing you have done. When I get around to it, I'll make it a condtion to update my profile, so I go out in a blaze of glory!

...Perfect set btw...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am
fred:

@RRN63: I think I read about a funeral service company that offers to press your ashes into a 7". If it doesn't exists, it should
Avatar 8:52am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

People have pressed themselves into vinyl, yup. The subject comes up now & then!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53am

Okay, so long as they're not a download
