Great book. Better sounds!

Hey northguineahills!

Knock knock! Is this thing on?
Avatar 8:38pm
Jesse K:

Hi Ike! Quite night on the boards, is there something happening on television?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm
Ike:

Nah, probably everybody is traveling tonight to avoid doing it tomorrow. To misquote Yogi B.: "The day before Turkey Day: Nobody goes then anymore. It's too crowded."
Avatar 8:42pm
northguineahills:

This Jim Pepper is actually good. The one LP I picked up was a wee bit cheesy.
Avatar 8:43pm
Jesse K:

Oh right, I forgot about thanksgiving travel plans...
@northguineahills, I agree, he has some super fusiony records in the catalog
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm
Ike:

Or maybe everyone is binge-watching Jessica Jones on Netflix.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
Uncle Michael:

I'm not. What is Jessica Jones?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47pm
Uncle Michael:

I think that Toula Amvrazi bus stop lost a contact lens.
Avatar 8:47pm
Jesse K:

Oh hey Uncle Michael! I also have to admit I don't know Jessica Jones

Ike:

Former superhero is disillusioned, becomes a P.I. in some weird version of NYC where Hell's Kitchen is still a bad neighborhood and not all gentrified. Lots of themes of women dealing with abuse. Pretty unusual hero stuff, really intense. David Tennant is brilliant as the sleaziest, most persuasive villain imaginable.
Avatar 8:55pm
Jesse K:

That does sound like it could be interesting, though I haven't watched a superhero movie in a long while
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56pm
Ike:

It's a different spin on that kind of thing. I've watched 5 episodes & it's good so far. Actual NYC filming locations too, not some L.A. bullshit.
Avatar 8:57pm
Jesse K:

A change in the tax subsidies?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04pm
Ike:

Yep, crazy state tax incentive fights have been going on for a few years now. NY, GA, & Louisiana have been stealing loads of biz from CA. A bit is going up your way to MA now too, I think. CA is belatedly trying to fight back but new states keep trying to jump in.
Avatar 9:04pm
northguineahills:

Yeah, Bloomberg gave huge tax breaks to Movie/TV producers. Also, this help create the Brooklyn Navy Yard movie studios.

Awesome loop!
Avatar 9:13pm
Jesse K:

Yeah they've filmed a couple of things here recently, I saw parts of the new ghostbusters was filmed in chinatown this summer

Nice sounds & bus shelters!
Avatar 9:24pm
Jesse K:

Hi Melinda, welcome!
Avatar 9:47pm
northguineahills:

Is the occasional clipping in the left channel from your end. (It was apparent in Cold Dust
Avatar 9:50pm
Jesse K:

Hmmm, I haven't noticed it on my end but I'll keep an eye out. All my clip lights look ok, though it may have peaked a bit on some of those sloppy mixes
Avatar 9:52pm
northguineahills:

Ok. I just didn't want to start trouble shooting in the middle of your set, although it sounds fine, now.
Avatar 9:53pm
Jesse K:

It was probably me, actually I was showing my right channel a little hotter than the left but could have some wires crossed
Avatar 9:54pm
Jesse K:

Thanks for the heads up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm
Doug Schulkind:

Some of these bus shelters make me think of the futuro-anachronistic architecture of Brasilia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm
Uncle Michael:

Thank you Jesse.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm
Doug Schulkind:

I have just trademarked the phrase "futuro-anachronistic."
