	♥ 11:52am doctorjazz: to get a bit more technical, you can play any steel string guitar on you lap and have a "lap steel" if you play it with a slide. There is, however, a guitar built as a "lap steel", which has the strings much farther from the fretboard, and is thus very hard to finger and play without a slide. And, a pedal steel, of course, is only played with a slide. Great show, thanks Meghan, lots of fun (good company on my dog walk as well as home).
