Joe, same old story Prince Rama visiting Europe but missing UK. Must be the referendum.

And if you're going to the show Thursday I recommend getting there in time to see the opener, Hey Anna (THREE sisters in this band). I saw them for the first time last month and they were tremendous.

A word of warning about Prince Rama shows: you might end up hugging strangers
Avatar 11:28am
KP:

There are no strangers at wfmu

Does Prince Rama like Styx?
  11:31am
βrian:

Steppenwolf? Were they playing in a dumpy bar on Dort Hwy, Flint, Michigan?

Brendan:

A stranger is just someone I haven't hugged yet.

They could have been, Brian. However, I saw them in Tucson AZ, in an equally dumpy beer bar.

If it weren't for Beavis and Butt-head, I wouldn't have known about Deee-Lite. Hoo boy.

Also, Bootsie is cool!

Our buyer has a ground hog right outside his window to his office.

I would have thought Deee-Lite were way before their time, but it makes sense

Brendan:

Did these guys ever get hats when they made it?
Avatar 11:40am
Wild Neil:

Ground hog=marmot. Marmota Monax.
@Brendan-they did, but Devo stole the package off the porch and took their hats and called them Energy Domes. NoT!

Furthermore: Bootsy. Dumb autocorrect.

Joe McG:

@Ken: Don't worry. Yes, it was Bootsy and Q-Tip on that remix. I like it better than the LP version.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am
Greg from ZONE 5:

Agreed, Joe. Bootsy & Q-Tip make perfect songs better.

I'm thinking of ducking out for a triple espresso, but I fear I'll need something stronger.

This show was literally all over the place today. Really. Wow. Talk about free form.

Has Bootsy considered making a “Bootsie Roll?” I mean, Tootsie Rolls are kinda grandparent candy nowadays… They need to tap into that lucrative youth market again.

Great show, Joe. Hope you fans keep you cool.

So cool that Nimai would request Johnny Cash

Well, it's been a weird one, friends! Thanks for listening and commenting. Have a great week and see you again next Monday! Don't forget to check out Prince Rama.

Prince Rama: Slip Into Nevermore is clicky star for me. Awesome!

Loudest Surface Noise ever!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am

Damn, they're playing in Paris next month, but it's an overnight show. I know the drill and the venue: it's a three-hour walk through clumps of aggressive drunks to get back home

Greg from ZONE 5:

Thanks, Joe!
