Meghan! This is such a great surprise. Remember, you're in FCC territory here, you have to do a station ID every hour, some words can't be aired, and you have to play Rush at least once. (I may have made up one of these rules)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05am
Meghan:

teee heee heeee.... thanks Fred! Good reminder since the time slot is familiar....

Top o' the morning, Meghan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29am

Morning KP!

I have been lucky to have seen them a bunch of times..... befriended them when some of them were Silver Mt. Zion. First time I saw them was a long time ago..... in a small venue maybe 1999?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30am

Seeing GYBE in 2003 is how I first heard about Instants Chavirés, which quickly became my favorite venue. I've been there hundreds of times since, so that counts as a life-changing event

Nice to hear Nick Cave back to form
Avatar 6:56am

Yeah - I think Cave is probably the most Literate person to condescend to write Rawk'n'Rolla...& then I wonder - but what is he writing *about*? Exactly? But - he just brings it...

Digin' this Bana. Been hearing it some lately here. Good thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13am

Pierre is unapologetically French, but he's misleading too: few are as good as he is. We'll hopefully have a meetup with listener ausmanx next week

Tales from the mosh pit #94.
A couple of years I went to a Neutral Milk Hotel gig. Got myself nicely placed around two-thirds back in quite a large hall. Thought, this should see me okay. To my utter bewilderment the entire place turned into a mosh pit! Yikes, had to gingerly retreat to the back to escape the hysteria.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am
Meghan:

I remember seeing the band Sugar back in 95(?) in Chicago. Before the band got on it got so crowded that I was getting crushed. Once they finally started I had to mosh to get out of it!
Avatar 7:57am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...it's the subtextual violence in all their material, Stanley! Skinheads flock to it...

You tend to think these days it's hard to get any reaction @ all - it's interesting to remember that there is energy & chaos & danger potentially still out there for Performance...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13am
Stanley:

Glad to hear it. At my age the gigs I go to, the performers are quite sober and straight. Its been a long while since I saw a band completely out of it and kicking up a storm.
  8:16am
Martin:

Haven't listened to this album in a long while. Brings back memories of a long work commute. Thanks, Megan!

Let's not forget that before Moonshake was Dave Callahan's band The Wolfhounds whose LP "Unseen Ripples" is the best thing to come out of the so-called C-86 school!

So much good music then.....

Meghan makes the smartest & tastiest selections - sequences them dynamically - alters the sets perfectly - so well-curated - but not alien or a million miles over yer head, relatable & Earthy - like it was just the music @ the best local bar that never existed...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32am

DOM..... you've listened to a lifetime of the Stones.....
