Listener comments!

  3:05am
Mark R:

Happy Columbus Day, dear listeners! It's Silent Fundraiser time, so let's raise some silent funds, waddaya say?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10am
mariano:

Columbus was considered a bastard even by most people in his day. Isabella, who had no problem expelling all the Arabs and Jews from Spain, relieved him of his governorship and threw him in the clink when she got word of what he was up to with the indigenous Americans, she was so disgusted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10am
coelacanth:

greetings Mark R
...i think everyone who columbus encountered could've used the good luck wishes more.
  3:13am
Mark R:

Welcome, Mariano and Coelacanth! I do welcome the day off, though. They really do celebrate Indigenous People's Day in Seattle, Minneapolis and some other enlightened cities.
  3:19am
Mark R:

Inquiring minds want to know: during our Silent Fundraiser, we do accept Euros, pounds, you can use PayPal...you can mail us a let of lamb.
  3:19am
Mark R:

Actually hold off on the lamb--a lot of us are vegans, and the postage alone would kill ya.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20am
mariano:

Damn! I knew I should have pursued my mail-a-lamb scheme...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am

(...not to be a smartypants or anything)
  3:36am
Mark R:

Smarty-pants!
  3:37am
Mark R:

Listeners who are smarter than the DJs are part of what makes WFMU so special. That's why you should pledge.
  3:37am
Mark R:

Wait, what?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37am
coelacanth:

hahaha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44am
coelacanth:

- i'm in such a bad way now financially ...maybe by the end of october i'll have reason for optimism. i don't know.
- i usually pledge considerably more than what i have (why i do swag4life) - but it's beyond ignoring now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59am
coelacanth:

you could do what i did when i saw Katell Keineg at the mercury...'left a fetish necklace on the stage after she was finished. she probably never got it, and if she did likely never knew it was from me.
...foolish boy i was/am.
  4:21am
Mark R:

I know it's the SILENT Fundraiser, but jeez...
  4:35am
P-90:

Yay! Krimson!
  4:41am
P-90:

...and primo segue
  4:50am
Mark R:

I'm pretty sure Thelonious Monk would be s Swag-for-Life member if he were alive to pledge.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51am
Guido from Cologne:

Good morning everyone!
  4:53am
Mark R:

Good morning, Guido--and yes, we do take Euros!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10am
Guido from Cologne:

Still the PayPal-Option is missing in the form, as was last week. Will have to do it maually.
  5:11am
Mark R:

Oy, I'm sorry Guido. Software issues, I presume. I apologize. We need to make it easier for you guys to give us your money. Your generosity is much appreciated.
  5:30am
Mark R:

One last plea for your pledges. We do the Silent Fundraiser in October because that's the time of year our funds start to really dwindle. Most of you know we're losing JM in the AM in a couple of months--not only a great show but a great, generous audience. If you love WFMU as I do, please help us out as much as you can. Thanks!
  5:30am
ajay:

fantastic show Mark. Thanks for sharing the sounds
  5:32am
Mark R:

Thanks for tuning in, Ajay! Stay tuned for more groovy sounds with BriJet!
