Can you play something by Steve Bannon?

Please do not play any of my hoof and mouth performances.

Irwin,
Your logic is messed up. Only play artist who have already deceased. Problem solved. You're welcome.

Tom: And if they come back as zombies and kill other artists I've played on past shows?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm
Passaic River Blues:

I got it: limit yourself to airing music by imaginary people and then we'll all be assured eternal life.
  3:24pm
Tom:

Well then I stand corrected. Please accept my apology in advance.

I am not familiar with Perrey, so this is going to be an ear-opener for me. I will add only that "Moog Indigo" is a great album name.

I am not coming back as a zombie but thank you kindly for playing my Don Mcclean/Andy Breckman cover Irwin!

These are my favorite Mose songs, too.

Lyle:

I did a short stint as a gongist for Karl Douglas during his short-lived Kung-Fu Fighting period. How strange that we should share a stage with Mose Allison, but in the '70's, anything could happen and usually it did. I once gigged with Minnie Ripperton when we opened for Uriah Heep! Anyway, as I recall Mose was seated stage right as I performed with Karl Douglas. Even though Mose' health was not good, he insisted on bum rushing the stage and engaging in some Kung Fu moves with Karl. Unbeknownst to Mose, Karl was a 3rd Degree Kung Fu practitioner who had studied under Keith "I'm Easy" Carradine, who, like his brother was a master of Kung Fu. In front of an enthusiastic audience of maybe 80 people, Karl did a roundhouse kick that connected with the right side of Mose' head and down the jazz giant went. Cheers went up as our road crew carried Mose backstage. He was ultimately unhurt, but he did drop out of the tour. He was replaced by Oscar Peterson, as I recall.

Lyle, the first time I ever heard Earth Wind and Fire was when, ca. 1972, they opened for John Sebastian. Ron Delsner (or whoever was booking these things) had a sense of humor.

Ken From Hyde Park:

(Also, Minnie Riperton.)
  4:09pm
Lyle:

Thank you, Irwin. My hands aren't as supple on the keyboard as they once were. Parq - Ha! I was at that show. Seated in the upper mezzanine with none other than thee Phil Bodner of Trombones Unlimited. As I recall we smuggled in a bottle of peach schnapps and we became a bit unruly, catcalling to Verdine White who was a good friend until that night.
  4:14pm
Brendan:

Nice Irwin -new to Mr Allison. Sounds great.Thinking of Hoagy Carmichael . And the name made me think of the character Mose in the movie The Searchers.
  4:14pm
Lyle:

I wasn't aware Mose had passed. Sorry if my comments were posted at an inopportune moment. I'll bet ol' Mose is chuckling in heaven, though, plinking away on the great celestial Chickering.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm
Irwin:

Lyle, it is my understanding you are mentioned in Mose's will. You might want to be seen at all the memorial events to establish your "cred."
  4:20pm
Lyle:

Mose and I shared an affinity for Earth Shoes and we both wore a size 13. I wouldn't be surprised if Mose didn't leave me his collection. Many, many pairs. We used to hunt them down on our off days. Miss him now. Hadn't thought about him for a while.

Has anyone ever done a show consisting just of versions of "Autumn Leaves"? Maybe it would be worth a shot. Just to be perverse, you could do it in April.
  4:28pm
Brendan:

This song is making me hungry.
  4:36pm
Dean:

Damn, missed Hatfield, not to mention the Allison tribute.

An "Autumn Leaves" program will have to include the Jarrett trio's almost 27-minute workout. It's a beaut.
  4:44pm
judy from croton:

27 minutes of autumn leaves, jarrett-style sounds like heaven.
I am partial to edith piaf singing it in english. One of my earliest musical memories
