You've made me cry more than any other DJ, Stashu. I don't know if it's cos I'm stupid sleepy or what. When you interviewed that guy who painted polka dots on houses in the midwest, I teared up. When you told people to support the charity which provided blankets and read bedtime stories to kids and you connected the dots and explained because it was because there were kids who never had blankets and bedtime stories, I bawled for like a half hour.

No, not everything is dance music, Stashu. I don't know the name of the pop tune with the lyrics, "Walk away, walk away...I will follow," but it's very ironic because if you actually tried to walk away to its music, you'd stumble & fall. You'd have to be spastic to dance to it.

This is a dramatic song. It's like a movie soundtrack end credits, circa late '80s, early '90s.

Holly from New Zealand:

Sim, check out Boy directed by Taika Waititi, and also Eagle vs Shark

Listener Robert:

Stashu, I'd like to see you dance to the rubato passages of Poet & Peasant. If there were video of it, that could be a marathon premium.

Sim, runes are an old carved alphabet whose letters have use not only in language but also have meanings. So from a bag of runes on stones, I can pull some and use them for divination. I'd rather get out my deck of runes on cards that I painted with red poster paint mixed w a drop of my blood, because then I can also take meaning from their up/down orientation; the stones I just take as they come.

Anyway, I haven't found my homemade runic tarot index-card deck yet since I moved to NJ from the Bronx, so it'd have to be the stones.

Sim, I've just done a 3-rune pull, on a principle similar to those of 3-card tarot readings, and can be read in order as (1) past or statement of the problem, (2) present or means of resolution, and (3) future or result. The runes drawn in that order were laguz, ingwaz, and uruz. I'll give you my interpret'n in a bit.

(I've been waiting patiently :D )
  8:43pm
Listener Robert:

Laguz (lake, hence water, liquid, fluid) represents how things have been in your relationship. So, fluid...having a propensity to change.

Ingwaz (seed, hence potential, start of a process) represents how the situation will work out. It seems to suggest that action planted in January (since that's what you were asking about) will start the process of resolution. Or it might be that the process is under way, to resolve in January.

Uruz (aurochs, ox, hence strength, endurance) represents where things are going. It seems you may have a lot to endure, to bear, in the future.

Or I could just pronounce the 3 runes: "Lingu". Huh -- tongue! The runes are thought to have been Germanic, and I don't know how much justif'n there is to mix in a morpheme that may be Latin there, but I, like Stashu, like to mix stuff up, so why not? That seems to be saying something involving language, or possibly literally a tongue.

Of course divination is tricky when it's 3rd=hand like this. Your SO has been communicating with you about a situation at her job, then you communicate with me, and then I'm pulling the runes & interpreting them. So a lot could be distorted in this game of psychic telephone, Sim.
