Decaying skin and covered in maggots, Wm. rises!

Carmichael:

With forest fires around, this music is fitting.

I got stuck in traffic and missed the first fifteen minutes. Would you mind starting over, please?

Wm.:

@Howard just use that climb-in tank from Timecrimes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

I'll climb in to anything, thanks Wm.!

Heavy metal?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am

@Howard-Even a giant wood chipper?
  12:29am
Carmichael:

I love love love that vruuuummm sound of a wood chipper. The sound of efficiency.

@Howard Timecrimes is by Nacho Vigalondo, who did that so-so new movie with Anne hathaway, Colossal, but his earlier works are great. He did the best segment in VHS Viral, for example. Timecrimes is about a guy who keeps going back in small parcels of time, 5 minutes, 15 minutes...and of course everything goes horribly wrong & he keeps going further back to try and fix what he's messed up; it's weirdly brilliant and confusing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35am
Rory:

@Carmichael-If you are in the SF/Oak area, the BART trains give you some of the best noise you'll hear...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am
Rory:

They're also extremely dirty.
  12:37am
Carmichael:

@Rory, I'm not far away, in Sacramento.

Wm.:

@Rory SCREEEEEEEEEEEE! (Used to live there.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Wm. Oh, I saw TIMECRIMES and quite liked it, but didn't realize he had a VHS segment (a series that I thought was, overall, pretty good). Didn't see COLOSSAL yet, but also didn't know that was the same fellow, so thank you for the context!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am
Rory:

Haha! And I thought St.Louis trains were shitty. Nothing beats the BART!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Rory - if it is comfortably appointed, leopard skin shag carpet, mini bar, strobe lights, good wifi, then yes, I probably would.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am
Rory:

@Howard yeah, sorry for the stupid comment. (I've been drinking)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Rory - I should hope so. Cheers!

SWORD OF DOOM is the best! And early on, two characters are referred to as Ohno and Hijikata, that cannot be a coincidence...

Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Wm. - THE NORSEMEN series on netflix is really funny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

I wish I had Amazon so I could see the new THE TICK.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

THE NORSEMEN is intentionally, and quite dryly, funny!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

Good night, DangerMouse Fox!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01am
Rory:

Shudder subscription is well worth it. Only $4.99 a month.
Avatar 2:02am
Fox (Rā-chul):

The new Tick series looks like it has pretty low production quality, especially compared to the previous live action version, but then I realized that Peter serafinowicz was the Tick, which makes me want to see it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Fox - Yes, exactly, again? I loved the previous two TV shows -- Oh! Peter Serafinowicz? OK, I'll watch. Well, I would've watched anyway, at least to test the waters...
Avatar 2:05am
Wm.:

Shudder, yes, still worth it, adding new stuff every week; not always strict genre films, but then the "off-brand" stuff is often quite good, like this one I mentioned: www.imdb.com... ...Thou Wast *Mild* and Lovely, not "Sweet," as I'd said...though no one in the story is particularly sweet or mild....
Avatar 2:06am
Wm.:

The Tick cartoon is still where it's at for me; they've yet to top it.
Avatar 2:08am
Fox (Rā-chul):

I think I still have a Tick toy from Taco Bell somewhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Wm. Yes, but that Fox live action show was also fucking superb.... The same anomalous network window that gave us Greg the Bunny, which I think is also one of the best shows ever made...
Avatar 2:09am
Fox (Rā-chul):

Shudder is tempting. Perhaps once I catch up and finish Twin Peaks I'll cancel Hulu and replace it with Shudder.
Avatar 2:11am
Fox (Rā-chul):

Greg the Bunny is the one that started off as shorts on the IFC, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Fox - I think they were actually from Carls Jr. I still have a SPEAK toy, and I think I remember that because I'd never even heard of or seen a Carls Jr until years after I got the toy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Fox - Yes, but Greg the Bunny also had his own Fox show, with Sarah Silverman, Eugene Levy, and that guy from Buffy, cannot remember --oh! Seth Green.
Avatar 2:14am
Fox (Rā-chul):

Hmmmm... looking it up, it seems they BOTH had Tick toys!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16am
Listener Howard and the Cats:

@Wm. - Sorry, I don't know why I am always so off-topic. Maybe because what you play is always so comforting, rare moments of relaxation. xoxoxo
Avatar 2:18am

Die Fledermaus! American Maid! ...all dumbed-down for TV audiences :(
Avatar 2:19am
kimgland:

good morning all
Avatar 2:21am
Fox (Rā-chul):

I had a total crush on Seth Green based largely on an interview in Toy Fare I'd read, where his Buffy action figure had just come out, and he just geeked out about how many points of articulation it had, and that the bass actually plugged into the amp.
Avatar 2:23am
Wm.:

Oh, Oz! <3<3<3
Avatar 2:23am
Wm.:

His band sucked though
Avatar 2:27am
Fox (Rā-chul):

I was obsessed with trepanation when I was in my early 20's. You can get it done in Mexico.
Avatar 2:37am
Wm.:

@Fox Mexico, of course!
Avatar 2:50am
Fox (Rā-chul):
