"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

@Ken: Sounds like a horrible idea, at least from our aquifer point of view.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:36am
northguineahills:

and then there is the waste water question.....
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:38am
Ken From Hyde Park:

@ngh - Yeah, that plan doesn't even look good on paper. Pumping salt water back down? Don't salmon need cold water?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:40am
northguineahills:

(Yeah, I mentioned to my coworkers, who are scientists who study chemical contaminants in fish, and they were like, yeah, they'll die w/o refrigeration or A/C).
Avatar 10:43am
Chris from DC:

Ooh this is nice.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:44am
northguineahills:

I think they planned to pump salt water up (below the fresh water aquifer is the salt water aquifer). That one isn't being depleted, in fact, it's rising due to sea levels rising. it's taking from the fresh water aquifer I have a problem w/. It's taxed enough.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am
steveo:

so good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am
steveo:

(this set, not the fish farm)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:53am
northguineahills:

Yeah, but the wastewater is planned to be pumped is below the impervious layer 3000', which is below the saltwater aquifer which is cavernous. Orlando does such w/ its biosolids (read: dried sewage), and another city does as well, but it's dangerous to do so south of there as said areas are porous to the ocean
Avatar 10:55am
D. Lightfoot:

I once dated this pro boxer. Total badass, she was. Fearless, balletic, devastating. She didn't drink but needed her NyQuil of an evening. One night we bought a bottle and took it to the bar, ordered a couple rounds of Jager bombs on ice and spiked them with the Quil. Tasted horrible but really took the edge off. Some things you only do once. There is nothing after this life—this is all there is, whatever you're doing now and whatever you seem to recall.
