ECKANKAR! i remember their ads inside the Staten Island Ferry terminal -- always giggled, thinking of Sri Darwin Gross singing "At the Grass Roots," "It Just Is," etc.
whenever i tried to research ECK (pre-internet days!) i could never find anything about Sri Darwin Gross -- i always had to wonder if ECKANKAR kicked him out once they heard that record

many years ago, a photographer friend and i were watching the Robin Byrd show -- poor girl making her debut on the show got her period, right while she was doing her dance routine :(
