A friend has suspicions about mold in a house she lived in a few years out on Peaks contributing to real trial and trouble. You don't need, "OH, I've got a horror story...!" But I understand the suspicion and difficulties and wish you the best.

Depending on what I read, it could be either a huge relief or a huge nightmare, since there is a lot of disagreement about how to test for and remediate mold, therefore not a clear path forward. I have blood tests that are not conclusive, as well. I've lived with damp musty basements for many years with no health problems, but I guess different stressors can make you turn sensitive to molds.

(got back to Jah Lion) - been reading from where my comment board stood...melinda there are a lot of "experts" out there. just like with doctors, it's easy for one to say you ordinary human being you can't possibly deal with this yourself. ...maybe, maybe not.

	🥁 ♥ 9:53pm melinda: @coel there's no way to really know for certain, but doctors who deal with mold-related illness and don't have a financial interest in professional remediation still recommend going that route. At least you have to have professionals do some testing and investigating first.

	🥁 ♥ 9:55pm melinda: I'm usually too tired to go out and almost always too un-alert to drive safely.
	♥ 9:56pm coelacanth∅: and as others here say there are other factors. if other things weren't affecting your sensitivity to it everyone would react to it in the same ways. allergies and sensitivities are cumulative. you may have lived with mold before without a problem because there wasn't anything else messing with your immune system at the time. maybe now you're sensitive to the glue that holds your kitchen counter together, or the tree in your back yard, or a pesticide someones spaying 1/2 a mile away... or it could be a different strain or even species of mold.

Depending on what I read, it could be either a huge relief or a huge nightmare, since there is a lot of disagreement about how to test for and remediate mold, therefore not a clear path forward. I have blood tests that are not conclusive, as well. I've lived with damp musty basements for many years with no health problems, but I guess different stressors can make you turn sensitive to molds.

	🥁 ♥ 9:53pm melinda: @coel there's no way to really know for certain, but doctors who deal with mold-related illness and don't have a financial interest in professional remediation still recommend going that route. At least you have to have professionals do some testing and investigating first.

	♥ 9:56pm coelacanth∅: and as others here say there are other factors. if other things weren't affecting your sensitivity to it everyone would react to it in the same ways. allergies and sensitivities are cumulative. you may have lived with mold before without a problem because there wasn't anything else messing with your immune system at the time. maybe now you're sensitive to the glue that holds your kitchen counter together, or the tree in your back yard, or a pesticide someones spaying 1/2 a mile away... or it could be a different strain or even species of mold.
