@Mark Oh really. I thought Shannon was in Ireland.

I guess we favored it over the A-side too @Coel -- hypnotic guitar indeed. And a cool story to boot!

Thanks, guys, thanks for spending it with me as I grow old.

@Joe! Did you sneak a birthday in on us?

Mark in Toronto:

@Brian in UK: That may well be, but the single was was credited to "Shannon" here, i don't know why. It got airplay, i remember it. Did you see my comment to you earlier on RSD purchases?

Great to hear the late Kevin Coyne.

Joe, tricksy show today but good nonetheless.

Just went to see the Amazing Grace movie last night, highly recommended. Mick Jagger puts in a brief surprising "cameo"

@Brian: I like that! Definitely a tricksy show. @Mark: It's changed the way I hear the album a bit, for good or ill.

Mark, sorry missed it. Looks good. Living in the country there are no shops nearby. Hope to check out one this week. I am sure that it will not be sold out.

Mark in Toronto:

It's funny to see things in stores still there from last year, or the year before, that just didn't sell. Won't somebody take this off our hands? Why is the Shocking Blue singles collection being released AGAIN this year? Where is the exclusivity!!!

@Mark, taking a trip up to Abergavenny hoping the weather is fine. If you should see a black dog running free, well you know that it's mine.
Think those are some lyrics from memory.

Despite the fact that there are so many American towns with UK names, the USA seems to have more evocative names.

Thanks for the non-taxing show today, Joe. I do regret to inform you that Therese played a Wreckless Eric track last night. Love that New Bin!

I think my favorite moment in that Aretha film comes during her performance of this song. The choir director breaks down weeping (as I almost did) at the beauty of Aretha's voice. Great show as always, Joe!
