I believe the picture is a social commentary on the plight of the indigenous people of central Africa, who are so impoverished in some communities that the poverty follows them to heaven, where they are given washboards instead of harps and halos made from clothespins and bent clothes hangers.

I kinda enjoyed my one MRI, over a decade ago. Grind clunk whine whirr, over and over. Yeah, like Bryce's show is sometimes. :-) I had some ideas deliberately stored up to think about, so I wouldn't get bored/annoyed. I wasn't gonna be anxious. Why volunteer to suffer? I figured if people really got hurt or something I'd have read about it long ago. Just needed to make sure I didn't have any metal or whatnot on me ahead of time.

Found out I had congenital, but progressing, spinal stenosis (narrowing of spinal canal), bottom of spine (lumbar 4-5), which explained my tingly/numb foot (spinal cord nerves that service my right foot always getting pinched between two lumbar bones). The annoying part was that there was no sure fix, and many downsides to trying. So I've just lived with it, in the hope that it doesn't get too much worse. Fine so far. If you're not dead, you're alive.
