Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm

WR there's that. i have heard of "lactaid" eggnog. probably terrible. and dairy-free eggnog, which was okay, kinda...
still lots of sugar
Avatar 🇰🇷 Swag For Life Member 7:32pm
chresti:

I used to like white russians.
Avatar 🇰🇷 Swag For Life Member 7:36pm

Yes, I had several years of white Russians being my cockatiel of choice (I just had to text cockatiel as it is so entertaining that is the first smart text option when I type coc. )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
coelacanth∅))):

i drank white russians a lot in my late teens. they started to clog up my throat more and more until it wasn't fun any more. switched to black russians. switched to rum & cokes. rum & ginger. whiskey and ginger.
eventually i got over the liquor tasting like candy thing.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm
Gary:

SeanG!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm

WR i confess though -though i do drink whiskey neat or with ice, i often do mix it with lemon-ginger-echinacea juice; but the ration is almost 2-1: twice as much liquor as juice.
Avatar 🇰🇷 Swag For Life Member 7:44pm
WR:

Agree with YOU TDK60, doesnt sound punk regarding style but the cultural context may put them in that category.
Avatar 🇰🇷 Swag For Life Member 7:44pm
chresti:

No sweet cockatiels for me, maybe the occasional cognac, is the hardest I'll go.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm
coelacanth∅))):

mmm i used to like cognac (& armagnac) ...it's expensive in the bar, and i rarely drink at home, kinda forgot about it.
i used to make a hot chocolate -pure cocao powder, almond milk, honey and brandy. delicious! not very sweet.
Avatar 🇰🇷 Swag For Life Member 7:49pm
WR:

What is the echinacea part of the blend? Tea?
Avatar 🇰🇷 Swag For Life Member 7:50pm

Most of any brandy in the house winds up in Franco's pies

Like a lot of people I saw Meet The Residents when it came out and was amused by the cover but made the mistake of not buying it. I mean, it was in my hand!

Loved FT - & there had obvsly been Zappa - & Fugs...

Gary, I too loved The Firesign Theater. Around 1969 my father called me into the living room, took off the headphones, handed them to me and said "Here, I think you'll like this." At the time they had a regular show on KPFK.

Bergman used to have a morning radio show in LA on KPFK when I was traversing that goddamn mess of city during the '80s. Every show opened with a different version of "It Ain't Necessarily So."

I found a Negativeland cassette in a thrift store when I started college in the mid-90s, and was immediately hooked.

Oh, and, thanks, Gary, have merriment tomorrow!

My wife appreciated the residents set. First time I've played a show on WFMU with music she knows better than I do.
