I love this song. I just looked it up and realised the Third World version was a cover and that this is the original, which must have come soon after the O'Jays great Backstabbers. I like this better than the Third World version. It's more nuanced and delicate.

@Jett: apparently it started to come apart as they were “inspecting” it (for hidden contraband?) because the parts aren’t glued together. They assumed if it came apart so easily it must be made to be put back together easily, which it is not. The guy said he has his fingers crossed, but best case scenario is that it will settle back to its proper resonance after a number of WEEKS...
