Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 3, 2020 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

For attempting foolish lame impressions of Satchmo singing, many would go for Wonderful World or Hello Dolly, but this is my choice.

I got pretty loaded myself at the Morphine show I saw, and the band, particularly the lead singer, seemed to be doing the same, including after the show at the bar. Actually, it seemed like the drummer was looking out for the singer to make sure he didn't get into trouble
  2:05pm
Marie:

I was chatting with the singer, he said had written a song titled :"Marie"--I never looked into that...

Commercial radio has gutted Tom Petty’s catalogue, so it’s refreshing to hear a song new to my ears.
