Futile expeditions to the edges of good taste, bad morals, and ugly intententions. Late night drives somewhere between Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and The White Castle of Fear.
Second Hand Pop, MIDI grunge soundalikes, and uncanny Japanese karaoke.

Scotland at 24....Bouncing in Nordic lands.... Brazil at 33...and now back in Sweden, I'm 36...mixtured through the years are many many years on sea and my favorite hobby travel. The early years in Sweden growing up in the biggest Immigrant neighborhood of Scandinavia had a tremendous amount of impact on me, combined with the Icelandic country side. @Sigurður: Only married 6 years, but have been together 13 (when I met her on a dj tour of Monterrey and Mexico City). Actually, I popped the question...(in Reykjavik after we found a drum and bass night at a gay club/cafe, walking back to the hotel at a public square, about 1.5 km west of the cathedral.

You're putting on a good show and I'm not noticing the technical difficulties.
It might just because I'm chilling out, painting miniatures and sorting my email while having you as pleasant background music.

Avatar 4:59am
Sigurður:

Was it the gay bar on Laugavegur on the second floor? I lived several years in downtown Reykjavik. Can't really locate the public square in my mind, my sense of direction is horrific, if I take a pun ill say Hlemmur... The last place I lived in downtown Reykjavik was that street where one looks up at the Cathedral from the main street. I really enjoyed people watching from my former door.

@ngh the music scene in the gay clubs is has so many times been awesome
Avatar 5:13am
northguineahills:

Sigurður: The ground floor was a cafe, and the club was on the second floor, so it may have been it. Growing up in the South, I realized since high school, gay clubs usually had better culture/music then most other places. Heck, I've reacently found some hip redneck gay clubs. (when you're straight and educated in America, you tend to gravitate to the interesting people, especially in the 90s..)

Avatar 5:24am
Sigurður:

@ngh one properly good thing I can say about my country is that the acceptance of homosexuality is tremendous. From what I gather is that the gays of Iceland fought hard for it to be so! Taking the negative and demeaning words and making them a norm and using it with in the gay community. Thus taking away the negative power of the user (hommi) fast forward some years and we get a female gay prime minister. Goodnight Ngh slaf gutt
