...i took a sound recording of them yesterday for a while; i knew they were jumping today. it sounded like 4 birds so i guess the other 3 are up in the trees now.
i haven't seen the mother come back, but maybe she's watching from across the driveway, where she used to yell at me because she needed to get past me to feed them

That said “Key Largo” and “To Have and Have Not” both kinda suck. But “To Have and Have Not” — I believe — is the first pairing of Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart. So their interactions are great. The movie as a whole is forgettable.

Others films that are recent classics are “Paper Moon” and “Dancer in the Dark.” I rewatched Coppola’s “One from the Heart” and it’s visually stunning (the film was filmed all on set and with miniatures) but the story doesn’t make you care about any of the characters.
