Jack Rose, another amazing (and now departed) guitarist! When the Knitting Factory was on Leonard Street, I remember a mesmerizing performance by Rose in which he dove into his guitar for about 40 minutes before pausing.

Lovely set. I was fortunate enough to be in the Blacksburg VA area during a fertile period for some of these musicians. Some of the Black Twig Pickers were experimenting with drones in Pelt while simultaneously soaking in Appalachian musical culture. And Jack Rose was pulling shots at the local coffee bar. I just adore this music.
