This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

I was tempted recently to start tracking interesting old yachts on a marine traffic website, but I don't think I'd dip into forums on library music uses. Choosing one's lane for trips toward nerdness or one's exposure to lowgrade fevers of wonkadoodle ditherin'.

Dean:

When I was in junior high--so, '71-'73--I remember viewing one of those cheesy 35mm films about biology or something. The music appealed to me, and I noted at the end that the composer was Basil Poledouris, who went on to have quite a Hollywood career, stuff I'll never choose to listen to, because stereotype or not, most film music is dreadful. But I'd love to find that biology film soundtrack. Buried, perhaps on a library recording?
