Have had drummer stream playing while working and enjoying the African groove. Taking a look at the playlist seeing Zambia heading on the set and realizing that it must be random choice of the week. Great choice random!

RE: Therimin. Oh yes, amazing that time has passed such that 100 years ago is now well within more fully documented history. Mass media and entertainment artifacts. Not all segments and areas equally documented but a beginning. Some of what Therimin did upon his return to the Soviet Union is probably still classified.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 1:28pm
Bas NL:

Quick ride from work to home now. I'll be right back! Great sounds from Zimbabwe! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm

Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 2:29pm
WR:

A documentary was released in 1993. Very interesting but too soon after the break up of the Soviet Union. There is a little bit of Theremin and Clara Rockmore together, a meeting brought about by the documentary film maker, very strained.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 2:32pm
Webhamster Henry:

I have PAiA Theremax that I built, but it's very unstable!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm
David Dichelle:

Theremin apparently proposed marriage to Rockmore at one point, when she was still Clara Reisenberg.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm
David Dichelle:

Henry, that is doubly impressive! I've always wanted to give the theremin a whirl myself, if whirling is the right description.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 2:35pm

This is fascinating

This was originally broadcast live on the radio in 1945.
