My laundry machine died a couple weeks ago so I gathered my stuff and have been in an empty bright clean laundromat in Smyrna Ga doing my laundry this whole time. It dawned on me that the new odor in my room, of green beans left out of the fridge for two weeks, was coming from the chair. I might be able to fix it, but otherwise, I plan to smell like green beans from now on.

	7:55am Ted in Montclair: Jeffrey, re Churchill: i don’t think there’s any ‘perhaps’ about it. A few years back I read Churchill/Orwell, a neat double bio by Thomas Ricks. During the summer of 1940, when German fighter planes would cross the Channel to London, Churchill would run to the roof of his building to see the planes firsthand, despite the danger. The Nazi planes could cross the Channel from France in just six minutes. Six minutes.
	♥ 7:55am Jeffrey Davison: Niall, Churchill did guide the U.K. as well as anyone could during WWII, but the record of most imperialist nations is a mixed one, for sure. And believe me, I am not recommending Churchill's daily dosing, but amazing that he was able to function amazingly well. For sure, it would NOT work for me, or most of us.

Untold until now. The book is The Daughters of Yalta, by Catherine Grace Katz.

	7:55am Ted in Montclair: Jeffrey, re Churchill: i don’t think there’s any ‘perhaps’ about it. A few years back I read Churchill/Orwell, a neat double bio by Thomas Ricks. During the summer of 1940, when German fighter planes would cross the Channel to London, Churchill would run to the roof of his building to see the planes firsthand, despite the danger. The Nazi planes could cross the Channel from France in just six minutes. Six minutes.
