Avatar 9:24am Joe M:

I'm not familiar with this Gene Clark song. It's killing me- those harmonies and 12 -strings!
  9:24am bigplanetnoise:

The first third of the Hillman book is a long read. It takes a while to get to the fun parts.
  9:24am Listener Robert:

For a second I thought it said, "Like the wrestlers want up above."
Avatar 9:25am Bob Brainen:

Zoot, I have to read that.
Glad to enjoyed Joe M.
But worth the read, Bob? Does he dwell on family background or something?

I must say, the Gene Clark "Mr. Tambourine Man" book was a depressing read. Took a few days to recover.
Avatar 9:28am Bob Brainen:

Morning Gina & Crei6hton.
davek, you got it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am melinda:

I don't know this series but I love Catherine Keener, this is great.
  9:29am bigplanetnoise:

Bob - yes - soooo much dwelling on incidental growing-up stories. Ten pages or so on his favorite horse, etc, etc. Some of those details are interesting - ie: the story about the real Old John Robertson, etc - but an editor was def needed. You’ll find yourself skimming, for sure.
  9:30am Jeff:

I liked the Hillman book. I was touched by his memories of his Jewish father, Chris’ aversion to racism at an early age, etc. I thought it was well written.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am dale:

i thought that was 'the new zoo review'
  9:33am Docrock:

@ BB Awaiting the theme music from Sugarfoot!
Avatar 9:40am Bob Brainen:

@TDK: There are more different forms of cannabis available now than ever. Shatter, wax, oil, flowers ... the war was lost, drugs won!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37am watchpocket:

@TDK60 When I was tripping (in both senses) around Europe, there was only hashish, and no mara-ji-wana. (That was OK, 'cause the hash was plentiful.)

Avatar 10:39am Bob Brainen:

Rev that pissed me off to no end! My God like 40 years later and Keith still can't give him credit. And Mick & Keith have changed the Stones origin story to glorify themselves. It's a shame. Brian Forever!
