I am exactly the right age to have been deeply influenced by midnight showings of the film, DARK STAR, which is why this shows' mutterings make so much sense.
Avatar 2:18pm Timeshift pacific standard simon:

Last Ever is the sound of the Captain in cryogenic storage.
It is Philip K. Dick and Michael Moorcock. If you do not understand this, then you will need to do make-up homework. Or kill me.

You may be listening to me, but only for a few seconds.
Avatar 3:03pm kat330:

I once went as Robert Smith for Halloween. Yes, brined roast bird turned out scrumptious!
Avatar 3:03pm Ike:

Don't let the cows eat the egg shells out of the compost heap.
Avatar 3:04pm kat330:

What would happen if they did, Ike?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm listener james from westwood:

that is a quality household, then.
robert smith would be a great costume. a party that happens to have multiple robert smiths would blow my mind.

If you are reading this on Wednesday, I am a salamander in a hot oven, puffing up and turning brown and delicious, unlike the corpscicle I am now.
Avatar 3:06pm kat330:

Philo and I took our tri-annual trip on 80 miles of country road in Southern Indiana to see my uncle over the holiday. Noticing the cows make me wonder if the term "stock still" comes from livestock standing stock still? We saw about 20 cows on one pasture actually *running*, with a flock of birds above them. That was sort of Stephen King spooky.
Avatar 3:07pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Ahhhhh here's the part with easy sample identifying. I breathe. Do you breathe?
Avatar 3:08pm kat330:

Is the NON-timeshifting PSS on board right now? Noticed "corpsicle" in his message. Heh, my ex used to manage a band called the Corpsicles.
Avatar 3:08pm Timeshift pacific standard simon:

If you are reading this on Tuesday, I am reading the biography of Richard Brautigan, and feeling somewhat sad.
Avatar 3:09pm Timeshift Kenzo:

it's wednesday here now
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm listener james from westwood:

when i see "corpsicle," i think of larry niven's use of the term.
sounds like a great time. always good to keep up tradition.
cows running? i don't think i've ever seen that. bulls, yes, but not your run-of-the-farm cows. wild!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm listener james from westwood:

this is one tense loop!
Avatar 3:12pm Timeshift Kenzo:

i know I am not deflecting sadness today
  3:12pm possibilitywaves:

the sound collages now can be several many layered beings in escapade after oneanother : ) thoughtfully and in wonderment
Avatar 3:12pm kat330:

Yeah, it was really freaky. It sped by so fast, but we wondered if the flock of birds were maybe "herding" the cows or, more likely, the farmer rang the dinner bell and both "flocks" went running. :)
Avatar 3:12pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

My moment to let go into it. Always like that moment.
Avatar 3:12pm Timeshift Kenzo:

it is like clay today
Avatar 3:14pm kat330:

Damn, I hate making big grammatical gaffes at any time, but really hate it with another copy editor: flock "WAS" not were....sheeesh...
Avatar 3:16pm Ike:

And should that second ellipsis in your 3:14 comment have four periods and not three? I'm out of practice, so I genuinely don't know.
Avatar 3:17pm kat330:

Where are Bliss and Rabbit I wonder.

Avatar 3:18pm kat330:

Heh, well I was talking about James, Ike -- didn't realize you were also a copy editor. Seems the fave profession on Jeopardy, too. ;) Did you see / answer my question about cows and compost eggshells?

  3:26pm possibilitywaves:

that is wonderful! i didn't know the avatars led to anything! i love finding new incredible sound art!
Avatar 3:26pm Ike:

I can't remember, Kat. I was flashing back to 1999 and it's a bit of a blur. Maybe I thought that the compost would be less effective without eggshells. I acted as if the cows eating those would cause the universe to implode and extinguish all life. I was like that in 1999.
Avatar 3:27pm kat330:

What ARE you, um, "having" PW?
Avatar 3:28pm Timeshift Kenzo:

amen
Avatar 3:28pm kat330:

Ohhhh, I see. You were timeshifting. True, eggshells, coffee grounds and banana peels make our compost mighty fine for our garden.
  3:28pm possibilitywaves:

my mother and cats practiced and practice a positivity mysticism : ) also , i guess, definitely, i am having nature consciousness, which is what i am naming the same safe and positive space as "collective unconscious" space's art self : )

@possibilitywaves: You'd also probably "grok" my "Love Reigned," too. (I may be a sound artist tailor-made for you, possibility. ;)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm listener james from westwood:

favorite dinosaur = gallimimus. simply b/c its name means "chicken mimic."
Avatar 3:39pm kat330:

1997, whoo-hoo! This Friday, Finnish Independence Day (or, as we call it, Finndependence Day), December 6, 1997 is when Philo and I made first acquaintance in the ether. Our 16-yr. anniversary coming right up. :)
Avatar 3:40pm kat330:

My fave dinosaur was renamed! I had a bon mot involving Emily Brontesaurus, and just like they tried to kill my Beware of geeks bearing .gifs with a wrong pronunciation, they ruined Emily's, too.
Avatar 3:41pm Timeshift northguineahills:

*saucer eyes* Ken actually plays the chorus of the never ending story!!!
Avatar 3:41pm Timeshift Kenzo:

it's a funny day, yeah
Avatar 3:42pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Funny how the singer wasn't originally credited
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm listener james from westwood:

"emily brontesaurus" is still excellent even after the renaming. as long as there are flintstones reruns, that retired dino name will live on.
Avatar 3:43pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

UNWINDUP
Avatar 3:45pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Gary will have to keep waiting
Avatar 3:45pm kat330:

If I can recall it correctly.. lessee.... hmm. Something like: Men are evolving into spineless jerks just so they can give themselves BJs. -- Emily Brontesaurus. That's not it exactly, but don't know where my file of taglines might be on this laptop. Close enough. ;)
Avatar 3:46pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

we are all personality bookends on this message board. who's my pair?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm listener james from westwood:

[I wrote that in unhappier times, when I was running into a lot of misogynistic a-holes on BBSes]
  3:47pm possibilitywaves:

Yes, the word unwinding: i feel there is a strong connection between voice and kundalyn' space-reality, the voice coils throughout where it is created and resonating : )
Avatar 3:47pm Timeshift Bliss:

Thanks for a good show.
Avatar 3:48pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I nominate Noam to be my Other.
Avatar 3:49pm kat330:

The more things change -- and that brings me full circle, given that was what I said (in French) on my first phone call to you Kenzo back on either your first or second show at this timeslot. Apparently, though, whoever picked up on the other end - robot or whatever -- didn't record it.
Avatar 3:50pm kat330:

I nominate James to be my Other.
