Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31am Mike East:

Good morning all. Looks like its going to be a beautiful day
Avatar 9:42am glenn:

it's songs like this that make it difficult for me to hate the hollies.
  9:50am Stuart rose:

Glen, one should never even think of hating the Hollies. Too damn tuneful and harmonious.
  9:53am Hackensack Slim:

Yeah, Swing on Batman. Swing on. Batman on TV, muted. Lavern Baker rockin' the house. It doesn't get any better than that.
Avatar 10:02am glenn:

yeah, but then i hear he ain't heavy, and i just hate them again.
  10:02am Artanker:

So I guess "swing on batman" is where black oak Arkansas got "go Jim dandy"? Dead ringer
Avatar 10:06am annie:

i only watched "the man from uncle" because of david maccallum, had such a huge crush. nice to get that background info on him. thanks BB
  10:14am Stuart rose:

Point taken. So just confine your Hollies listening to pre-seventies stuff. Maybe the same advice applies to Manfred Mann- though for different reasons.
Swag For Life Member 10:16am tadpoles:

Yea! Bob - Family! Sooo great to hear them on the radio. More please.
Cheers
Avatar 10:19am glenn:

i admit, i don't know very much about them at all. i do like the everly brothers album where they are the band. or is it just a phil everly solo album? in any case, it's pretty good.
  10:19am Stuart rose:

Art, the other way round. Jim dandy goes back to the late 40s or early 50s. Black Oak revived it.
Avatar 10:50am Nanker de Tucson:
