9:03am David in ATL from NJ:

Good morning, Bob and fellow listeners. A most dreary day here in Atlanta.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03am Sem Chumbo:

Bought this GG&F after hearing on your show a while back; been enjoying it.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:13am Brian in UK:

Hello Bob & Co. Is that Officer Dyble from Top Cat or cousin Judy?
Avatar 9:16am Bob Brainen:

No Brian from UK - Judy Dyble original vocalist from Fairport Convention, Trader Horne and later solo albums.
  9:18am William:

Kudos Bob for makin' it in on such a snowy Jersey morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19am Sem Chumbo:

Well@BrianiUK: is it motorcycling weather today?
Avatar 9:21am SmokinJ:

Mornin' all! :)
9:25am David in ATL from NJ:

LOVE Donovan, Bob! He is certainly under rated.

Thanks for playing and hope to hear a little more, maybe, in the future.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25am Uncle Michael:

Good morning.
  9:25am Woo:

Do we know who is Dippy? It's been almost 50 years. We should know by now. Maybe I missed it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am Uncle Michael:

There's a typo. The title should have read; "Epistle: Too Dippy."
  9:28am William:

Is this the single after Mellow Yellow?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29am Sem Chumbo:

via wikithingy: "Written in the form of an open letter to an old school friend, the song had a strong pacifist message in addition to its florid psychedelic imagery. The real "Dippy" was, at the time, serving in the British Army in Malaysia. According to Brian Hogg, who wrote the liner notes for the Donovan boxed set, Troubadour, Dippy heard the song, contacted Donovan and left the army as a result."
  9:29am V Priceless:

Greets all!

Gene singing See the Sky About to Rain is wonderful on Byrds.
  10:12am Woo:

Intro to Omaha sounds mightily like the Mothers of Invention I think.
  10:16am Douglas:

I'm a friend of Larry Packer,he plays fiddle now in a band called Hair of the Dog.Saw Moby Grape at Fillmore East and they were bad, made me sick. Good thing BB King played after them.

Bob,

Do you like monster movies, or just the music? Can you play some Splinter? Thank you.

PR
  10:43am Stuart Rose:

Another great road trip all over the musical map, Bob.

I do love that first Moby Grape album, but I've always found Omaha too simplistic a tune.
the pre-tune noise fest they kicked up(studio effects, right?) is the best part of the song- along with Don Stephenson's drum breaks.
Avatar 10:45am Bob Brainen:

I like monster movies fine Peter, but I like the music to some of 'em even more!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am Sem Chumbo:

Suddenly feel a need to go to church.
Perhaps it will pass after your show:>)
  10:49am mrmucho:

Great show as usual, Bob.
10:50am David in ATL from NJ:

Thanks for filling up the office with great sounds this morning, Bob. You did it again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am Sem Chumbo:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56am Sem Chumbo:

Ah, wrong title.
  4:02pm Doug in Michigan:

Interesting that you posted Shotgun Slade as I just got the entire soundtrack lp last week. I also downloaded some of the tv episodes. Remember the show well as a kid.
