I have loved the Americans from an early age. My Grandfather born in the time of the American civil war later on in his life supplied the New York Public Library with early editions of the bible. My father was taken across the US during prohibition by his tutor to take over my granfathers business after he suffered a stroke. In my early ears, the Taylor family lived close by. The father worked for the CIA and drove an MGA sports car. Bakeland Roll the inventor of Bakelite was a good friend of the family and Suki his granddaughter came over to stay with us in 62 and she gave me dozens of packs of Wrigleys speamint gum and we played Risk.
