Hey Frank, good to HEAR that you're still doing it!
If I remember correctly, I first got turned on to both you and Bob Brainen back in 1980. Didn't you guys have back to back shows on FMU?
Keep pushing the envelope; it sounds great!
Avatar 6:32am fxo:

you are correct, sir. Thanks, Jeff.
Avatar 6:37am duke:

Was it FXO followed by Bob Brainen or the other way around back then? - Sounds like a good morning

Avatar 6:58am fxo:

right, Jeff, the Sinatras recorded with Lee Hazelwood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35am Ken From Hyde Park:

During the Saturday snowstorm a few weeks ago. Todd-o-phonic Todd was filling in for Bob. Todd was making fun of Bob's attendance record. Over the last 8 or 9 years, Bob missed one or two weeks per year on a couple of occasions but had several years of perfect attendance.

history, in the making, Ken
  7:53am Jeff:

Frank, thanks for all the good vibrations!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Zappa was one person ready to mock Eric Burdon for his brand of enthusiasm for (shall we say) psychedelic mysticism. A little uncharitable I always thot - & a great album.
Avatar 8:27am SigurĂ°ur:

Just because
  8:28am Jack:

In the song "Monterey" Burdon sings "... Ravi ShankNAR ..."
Avatar 8:29am fxo:

Zappa seemed to mock late 60's psychedelic music. We loved the free form of it all. Thanks RevRab.
Hello sigurour, and you too, Jack.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- yet - Zappa so often is grouped in w/ the Psych genre, & obviously shares that audience. Flo & Ed (...or one of them) say Zappa smoked dope...Anyway - I like psychedelic Animals plenty & credit Burdon a bunch.
  8:48am Cooh John:

Happy holiday to all. I slept in to observe it. I will sleep in forever if one candidate I will not name joins the club. Grrrrrreat musik as always, fxo.
Avatar 8:50am fxo:

ditto Rev.
