Been into Smokey and His Sister for years now thanks to Bob, and my 18-yr-old daughter loves them too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am melinda:

I learned of Smokey and His Sister here too, one of many great discoveries.
  9:11am DebbiefromCA:

Loved the Herman's Hermits!
  9:21am Jeff:

I may hate Mike Love, but “aren’t I glad” that he contributed to this gem!
  9:21am David Rubien:

Mining the '60s for gold....
  9:24am dan:

I don't like this hate for Mike Love. His jerky behavior should not intrude with his genius.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:25am WilliamfromDumont:

Morning B. and all. Much love for Love. Enough hate!
  9:26am 1whoknewcthulhu:

Canteloupe Island? Herbie nirvana!
  9:27am dan:

Herbie sure tickles those ivories good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am melinda:

I like Canteloupe Island. Someone else's version was the theme music for a Boston public radio talk show I used to listen to, forget the name.
  9:32am Doc Rock:

Good Morning Bob + Listeners

  9:47am David Rubien:

The great Bill Evans...

  9:57am Jeff:

Bill Evans, Laura, Miles.....
Just brilliant, Bob!
Hey Doc, did you see Miles/Laura Nyro at Fillmore East?
  9:58am 1whoknewcthulhu:

Flamenco Sketches: I remember playing the Kind of Blue LP to death and thinking of this piece as "the last cut on side 2." Does that even register with listeners any more?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:59am WilliamfromDumont:

Nice set. It's hard to follow Peace Piece.
  10:06am Jeff:

Hey, did I ever tell you my friend Karen went upstate to sleep away camp in the early ‘60s. One of the camp counselors was a (very) young Laura Nyro. She used to sing to the kids!
  10:08am dan:

I grew up on Dandelion on repeat on an old cassette tape my parents played.

  10:20am Jeff:

Hey, that very same Karen’s dad, Ruby, was one of the original partners in Gem Spa on 2nd and St Mark’s. He was there throughout the hey day of the Village and Fillmore East. EVERYONE hung out there!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Ken From Hyde Park:

Went outside to fetch the paper just now. It's 10F / -12C and a bit of new snow on the ground. It made that crunchy-crunch sound. Well, maybe that was my knees.
Avatar 10:22am acid casualty:

Bob, really liked the rydell/checker version. Funny, I was just playing a 45 of that song by the orioles. Another good version. Don't know if that was original, tho.
  10:23am DebbiefromCA:

I'm dancing in my living room!!!
  10:28am David Rubien:

The Q tune arrives, and a great one. Can't wait to see them on Jan. 2.
  10:29am Jeff:

Anybody know how Joey Spampinato’s doing?
  10:33am Jeff:

Rascals, not Youngbloods
  10:38am Geoff in Ottawa:

Loving this. Saturday morning in my pyjamas in Ottawa. -20 C here right now. I'm not going out. Loved that Little Richard.
  10:43am Ian in Morewood:

Hey, Geoff!
  10:45am dan:

That Doris singer sounded a lot like Bonnie Tyler
  10:47am Geoff in Ottawa:

Hey, Ian. I hope you're staying warm!
Avatar 10:47am acid casualty:

I saw a photo of water freezing mid-air in Ontario.

Absolutely stellar!
  10:58am dan:

Katie Kissoon who would go on to be a backup vocalist for Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, David Bowie and Van Morrison among others.
  10:59am 1whoknewcthulhu:

Am I the only person who thinks that "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" sounds exactly like Slade's "C'mon Feel the Noize"?
  11:01am David Rubien:

Great show, Bob, thanks.
  12:15pm mike east:

@johnk - I thought that was her! Very nice
