Good Morning Bob!

Morning all!
  9:03am dan:

You're opening with a song that I just discovered this week. What a coincidence.
  9:05am Jeff:

I’m sleep deprived, but I just have to listen live.
Good morning all (Doc Rock esp)!

Mornin' bb & friends!
Avatar 9:11am Nanker de Tucson:

Hugh Masekela did "Grazing in the Grass" , right?
  9:13am dan:

Jim Rodford's death was such a shock. I saw him twice with The Zombies and he was great each time. He's one of those figures who never got enough credit.
  9:14am Will:

Best start to a show ever (these 4 songs). Sorry about Rodford.
  9:15am Will:

Wasn't Rodford still touring with the Zombies?
  9:15am Jeff:

Dan, I agree with you re Jim Rodford.
Also, had no idea Masekela covered “Stop”. Was it before or after the Super Session version?
Avatar 9:16am Papayo:

This song reminds to Ivor Cutler song.
  9:16am dan:

@Will

I'll have to agree on that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24am melinda:

Thanks for playing Mr. Rogers.
  9:25am Jeff:

I’m in with the in crowd on Saturday mornings 9-11
  9:25am dan:

@Will Rodford was still touring with The Zombies as recently as one week before his death and they have a Spring Tour all set up. That's what shocked me about his death.
  9:29am Guy Walker:

Bob, Sofronitsky Concert Recordings available in USA on Melodiya 5CD & 1 DVD His Scriabin is something I think you'd like. Then all the other stuff he plays makes sense.
  9:38am Eliyah:

Hi guys, am i the only one with sound problems or there are some dead airs happening?
  9:41am dan:

Chris White was working with The Zombies for The Odessy and Oracle shows. Rodford would be in Act I with the current lineup and the surviving original lineup would be in Act II doing the album in its entirety.
  9:42am Jeff:

Chris White appeared with the Zombies recently when they did Oddysey and Oracle live. But, Rodford (and the current Zombies) were there too. Rodford has played with the Zombies for years and was asked by Rod Argent (his cousin) to join the original band.
  9:43am GListener MW:

I’ve been on a big XTC kick lately since hearing that great new “TC & I” EP on your show, Bob. Thanks for getting me back into them!!
  9:44am dan:

Thanks to you Bob, I'm discovering XTC. They remind me of Squeeze.
  9:48am dan:

Interesting and obscure Rolling stones cover.
  9:49am Robbie White:

Jim Rodfoed WAS the Zombies touring bass player. Chris White only did a few of the Odessey & Oracle shows
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:50am WilliamfromDumont:

Nice to hear Steve Marcus. I love anything on the Vortex label.
  9:52am dan:

I'm thinking that Chris White might return as The Zombies full time bassist.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00am Sem:

That Johnny Ray was pure amazement.
  10:01am Doc Rock:

Good Morning Bob & All Listeners. Hey Ho Jeff!
I was lucky enough to see Jim Radford live with
Argent, The Kinks, and The Zombies.
Excellent Bass player. He will be missed.
  10:04am Doc Rock:

Eliyah - Yes I Am Experienceing sound drop
Outs also.
  10:18am dan:

Brian Jones was a better harmonica player than Dylan.
  10:21am DJ E:

Saw Radford play with the Zombies about 3 weeks ago. He was great, as was the rest of the group. It was awful to hear when it happened.
  10:22am will from croton:

the XTC doc on showtime is excellent if you havent seen it.
  10:22am DJ E:

His passing I mean, not the show, which was great. Place was less than 3/4 filled and the crowd was awful but the band sounded great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30am Sem:

Wore the grooves off of this album. Sublime performances.
  10:31am annes:

Hi Bob, I heard a story that when the Stones were at Dylan's hotel room that night, Dylan wanted Brian Jones to play but Brian was so intimidated by Dylan that he refused to play, and Dylan did or said something that made Brian cry.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32am Uncle Michael:

Jennifer Warnes is the Dionne Warwick to Leonard's Bacharach/David.
  10:48am paul:

Midnight Campbell?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am melinda:

Midnight Campbell, haha
  10:51am Motobro:

That Midnight Cowboy track was sweet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am melinda:

I thought it really was Midnight Campbell and Oranj Symphonette was being funny.
Avatar 10:55am mauri:

Melinda, me too. I imagined Glen in the night.
  10:56am Greg from ZONE 5:

Morning, Bob and all!
  10:56am dan:

Midnight Campbell sounds like the name of a Blaxploitation character.
  10:59am Zetti:

luv Sacred Harp... great documentary at folk streams. Thanks Bob
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am Corey:
