I stand by my original feeling about this album-the music may be great (Dolphy/Trane/The Group), but the sound is really awful. (I know it's a "bootleg", not meant for release recording). I had a copy of the LPs, it happened to have a scratch on side 4 so I returned it and didn't ask for a replacement.

But of course, I don't begrudge anyone's enjoyment of an album they do enjoy, just my take (the sound quality of this particular album-bass missing in action, piano muted),, makes it hard (for me) to listen to (then again, I've listened to bad live Dead recordings, but this one bugs me more. Maybe it's 1) I didn't expect it to be so bad from reviews I read 2) the LP version (in todays inflated LP market) cost me $45)

i have added a hard wire connection from my router to my Technics fairly recently, but was streaming via WiFi before I made the wired connection. The streaming instructions are in the Technics guide (granted, not the easiest to follow); I'll email you later with the instructions. Listening through the living room stereo is MUCH BETTER than a PC/speaker or phone/headphone setup. (sometimes, though, you'll notice SQ differences-mostly, they're acceptable)

That there are zillions of streams is symptomatic of the reason Web streaming isn't regulated. Airwaves are a finite, scarce commodity. Websites not so much.

Also, it takes a complaint to trigger an enforcement, I'm pretty sure. I think to "Obscene, Indecent and Profane Broadcasts," they should add "Indifferent and Boring."

I love this, too, on the FCC site: "Obscene content does not have protection by the First Amendment. For content to be ruled obscene, it must meet a three-pronged test established by the Supreme Court..."
