In the garden bathed in summer's glow,
A tomato ripens, a vibrant show.
Bursting with warmth, a ruby delight,
Sun-kissed and juicy, a taste so bright.

Vines embrace the fruit with tender care,
Underneath the sun's affectionate stare.
In every bite, a symphony of sun and earth,
A summer tomato, a season's sweet rebirth.

Did you go to The Echo, or The Echoplex? I know of one taco truck that parks on Sunset near Echo Park Blvd. They hand make flour tortillas, which are great, but it's Sonora style and they go crazy with the salt.
  🎸 11:09pm

i think it was echoplex, it was an industrial building. the taco truck, iirc, was not on a main drag, but adjacent to echo park lake, maybe in a parking lot

i don't know if you read about it but last year there was a sort of enclave of trucks selling central american food in corona queens, which was supposed to have excellent food, the city shut it down putting a lot of people out of work. it has since reopened but smaller and with, i think, not the same people

I was going to ask you about street food in New York. The thing is, trucks are permitted in L.A. They don't have to pack and run when the health department show up. For example: San Gabriel, where we live has a very good street vendor scene that's relatively stable. A truck will do one thing real good, but not the other, so you have your choice. The place I walked to this evening use to be kind of uneven, but they got it together now. It was a mad house tonight because tomorrow it' suppose to rain all day.
