'History' is written by the winners.
I don't think we can *ever* stop learning about the breadths, the depths & the details of how true this is.
The USA was founded upon Manifest Destiny - part of the Colonialism that took the entire Western Hemisphere from First Nations Peoples.
It's wealth was established by Slavery. Our coasts were joined by a railroad built on the exploited labor of Asian immigrants...
The Founding Fathers were rich white male landowning slaverapers - who didn't want to pay tax.
Out Police were established to enforce segregation of the classes & the races
...& that was just the USA getting started.
No - this is not the focus of our Education.

'Israel' is occupied Palestine - unilaterally established by the British after the War.
Netanyahu is a RightWing militant criminal - already deeply enmeshed in AntiDemocratic scandal & fraud before Oct. 6th - & he has to perpetrate this horrific mass slaughter to sustain his support from the Far Right.

It cannot be denied that Zionist terrorism played a significant role in the formation of Israel and Palestinians were displaced as a result.

The present being 75 years ago as opposed to 250? Where exactly do you draw the line?

If the Oil weren't in the region - the USA would not have screwed around there.

Thomas Hobbes described 'the war of all against all." And 'the social contract' was a proposal that any parties involved must forfeit some of their insistent desires in order to replace ultimate chaos, which would be the alternative. Reluctant consensus is the only thing standing between very difficult stasis and 'safety' and the world of The Walking Dead.

Sharon withdrew from Gaza in 2005. Palestinians reciprocated by electing the known terrorist group whose claim to fame is introducing the suicide bomber to the world. Hamas then proceeded to spend all its resources on weapons and tunnels.
