I must admit I didn't really like much Charlie Hebdo originally for various reasons, but I am shocked and saddened that they died just for writing and drawing their opinions... haha same here KP. i just finished Bleeding Edge, which was excellent, had a lot to keep track of but overall easy to follow. Gravity's Rainbow is on my otherwise pretty thin shelf of books which i couldn't finish!

I always recommend The Crying of Lot 49 - very short, very engaging narrative. If you have a spare day, you can easily read it all the way through. And then want to re-read it again.

@Fuzzy - it's the same for me. I'm trying to develop a practice of reading again, and I find the type of slow, deep reading that I used to do has been replaced by a quick-skim reflex from only reading the internets the last couple of years. I find myself re-reading paragraphs frequently.
